Elect Sharon Dry
1495 40th Street
Los Alamos, NM 87544
I was raised in Los Alamos and attended LAPS schools from elementary through high school. My father, Robert Cake, was a pharmacist here for over 40 years. I have lived in Los Alamos County for most of my life, raised three children here and am the proud grandmother of seven LAPS students. I worked at LANL for over 25 years, most of that time as a patent paralegal for the Legal Department. I was recently a member of the Board of Registration and the Canvassing Board under the County Clerk's office.
Our community has struggled to maintain the businesses that provide goods and services to our residents, which are vital to our quality of life. The County government needs to be an ally to promote local business success, not be an additional barrier to it.
I would like to work with the Council, County staff, and members of the community to be a voice to provide more diversity of opinion and a balance of viewpoints.
• Increase transparency, accountability and fiscal responsibility.
• The County needs to support the economic viability of local businesses, and do what we can to encourage them to stay and thrive in Los Alamos.
• Los Alamos should focus on providing efficient delivery of a mix of low cost, reliable power/utilities to all residents.
